WIOX is made possible through the generosity of more than 100 talented local program host-producers, a management team of educators and media specialists, the Town of Roxbury, The Appalachian Regional Commission, The A. Lindsay and Olive B. O’Connor Foundation, The Greater Roxbury Learning Initiative Corporation, The Roxbury Arts Group, The MARK Project, MTC Cable; and scores of individual contributors, business sponsors, underwriters and community leaders. Wildly diverse, good-humored, and the recipient of numerous accolades and community service awards, WIOX was launched in collaboration with the Town of Roxbury in 2010. In 2014 the station became a licensee of WSKG Public Media.
