Ride the rails from Arkville to Roxbury's 19th century rail depot, where a brass band will welcome you and a horse drawn coach will be waiting to escort you to Main Street in style. Or take a stroll through a 19th century village fair, with market carts filled with fine summer produce, savoury eats, roving minstrels and vaudevillian entertainers, handmade crafts (and maybe a snake oil potion or two). Decorous student guides will lead you on a survey of the rich architectural treasures of Roxbury from an elegant horse-drawn hotel coach or a shady stroll down Main Street (or take your own self-guided tour with a tour brochure). Traditional basketweaving demonstrations and hand-cut silhouette portraits by master artists. Harry M. Keator Vintage Base Ball Tournament continues all weekend long (see separate listing). All the ease, fun and beauty of the Catskills of 100 years ago in an unforgettable day for the entire family. Come to Roxbury anytime under your own steam, or enjoy "Railride into Yesteryear" and take the Delaware & Ulster Railroad from Arkville NY depot (right on Route 28).
