This year Community Arts Funding is bringing 20 theater performances, 17 concerts, 7 art exhibits, 17 lectures/ workshops and 16 performances for children and family audiencesto audiences throughout Delaware County. The Roxbury Arts Group will again administer this program in 2009. Grants of from $500 to $5,000 will be available to not-for -profit organizations and artists in Delaware County.The funding is provided through the New York State Council on the Arts. The purpose of the funding is to foster the continued development of local artistic and cultural resourcesresponsive to the needs of each community.
The application deadline for 2009 is October 15. A series of one-hour application workshops will be held throughout the County this summer. All new applicants are required to attend one one these workshops, and attendence is strongly recommended for all applicants.
