"CONCURRENCE" An exhibit of paintings and prints by artists
LISBETH FIRMIN & GERDA vanLEEUWEN. Exciting abstractions, coupled with monoprints, landscapes and figurative work featuring intense color and contrast. ANNUAL COMMUNITY ARTS FUNDING AWARDS CEREMONY at The Roxbury Arts Group.
A gala afternoon to honor not for profit organizations and individual artists who will present over 90 public events throughout Delaware County in 2008. Funding made available by the
New York State Council on the Arts’ Decentralization Program which is administered in Delaware County by The Roxbury Arts Group.

BLACK 47 in concert. Taking their name from the blackest year of the Irish Potato Famine, Black 47 burst out of the Irish pub scene in the early 1990's. These Irish expats have a signature eclectic sound, uncompromising , cutting-edge lyrics and perform off-the-wall live shows. They have become the musical voice for young, politically aware Irish-Americans. $18. TANGLEFOOT in concert. Back by popular demand this Canadian group of gifted songwriters play with hell-bent, rampaging abandon. Tanglefoot was nominated for a 2007 Canadian Folk Music Award. Artist Marilyn Silver, whose work has been shown locally as well as in NYC , will lead an all day intensive workshop in the technique of oil painting. Beginners welcome.

GRANT WRITING SEMINAR with Peg Ellsworth at The Roxbury Arts Group.
Peg Ellsworth has successfully solicited funding for numerous projects and programs including cultural and heritage tourism programs, capital project planning, rehabilitation and restoration projects, equipment acquisitions, and educational, afterschool and artist in residency programs.
This program will help beginners to learn how to develop a project based on needs, identify sources, and solicit funding. The seminar will cover the basics of developing clear and concise narrative descriptions, proposed outcomes, and evaluation methods. $10, includes continental breakfast.
