Parks, Recreation, Historical Preservation and Tourism
The department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation was established in 1999 to oversee the restoration of Kirkside Park. Since, the department has assisted with fundraising and implementation for several projects throughout the Township.
From the development of the Grand Gorge Playground to renovation and restoration of the Vega Hall, the department continues to seek funding and assist with preservation projects, Main Street revitalization, heritage tourism events, tourism services and recreational opportunities.
