NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION

GRAND GORGE FIRE DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF ROXBURY, DELAWARE COUNTY, NEW YORK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Town Law of the State of New York that a special election of the qualified voters of the Grand Gorge Fire District in the Town of Roxbury, Delaware County, New York will be held at the Grand Gorge Fire House located at 60753 State Hwy 30 South, Grand Gorge New York 12434 in the Town of Roxbury, New York on September 20, 2016, between the hours of 6:00 o’clock p.m. and 9:00 o’clock p.m. to vote on the Bond Resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners adopted August 3, 2016, with the ballot to be in substantially the following form:

Shall the resolution entitled “BOND RESOLUTION DATED AUGUST 3, 2016. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF A CUSTOM PUMPER TANKER TRUCK AT A MAXIMUM COST OF $325,000 WITH A PERIOD OF PROBABLE USEFULNESS OF 20 YEARS; AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SERIAL BONDS OF THE GRAND GORGE FIRE DISTRICT, IN THE TOWN OF ROXBURY, DELAWARE COUNTY, NEW YORK IN AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $325,000 PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL FINANCE LAW TO FINANCE SUCH COST; AND DELEGATING CERTAIN POWERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH TO THE FIRE DISTRICT TREASURER” be approved?

A copy of the text of such bond resolution may be obtained from the Fire District Secretary.

Those who are qualified to vote on the aforementioned proposition are registered voters of the Grand Gorge Fire District who shall have resided in said Fire District for the period of thirty (30) days next preceding such election.
