NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Roxbury, Delaware County, New York has completed the 2022 Annual Water Quality Reports required by NYS Dept. of Health for the Roxbury, Grand Gorge and Denver Water Districts. Copies of the reports will be mailed to all water customers. Copies of the reports are also available on the Town website www.roxburyny.com or inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office, 56 Hillcrest Drive, Roxbury, NY during regular business hours.

Important Information About Your Drinking Water
Monitoring Requirements Not Met for Roxbury Water System
Our Roxbury Water system violated drinking water requirements over the past year. Even though these were not emergencies, as our water customers, you have the right to know what happened and what we are doing/did to correct these situations. We are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards. During 1/1/22-12/31/22 the Springs were not used for 8 out of 12 months due to a new Spring House and spring system that was under construction. Because of this, we missed taking samples and did not test for Primary Inorganic Chemicals and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water during that time. Proper testing has since been done and results were within Dept. of Health allowable limits. All Roxbury and Grand Gorge Water customers have been mailed a complete copy of the notice which is also available on the Town website www.roxburyny.com or can be inspected at the Town Clerk’s Office, 56 Hillcrest Drive, Roxbury, NY during regular business hours.
