EMERGENCY NOTICE - GRAND GORGE WATER CUSTOMERS
As of 1:30 pm on 7/26/21 Grand Gorge Water repairs have been made and water has been turned on. It will take a while for the system to fill back with water so customers may experience air in the lines until the system is full. Once fully restored, let your water run a couple of minutes as it may be dirty. If you experience any problems once water is restored please contact me at 607-326-7641.
Diane, Water Clerk
EMERGENCY NOTICE - GRAND GORGE WATER CUSTOMERS
As of Sunday July 25, 2021
We have a major water main break on State Highway 23 in front of the Post Office. Crews will not be mobilizing at the scene until tomorrow morning to make the repair, wanting to make sure they have all the necessary parts.
What this means for you:
*All water customers NOT located on State Hwy 23 from the State Hwy 23/30 intersection and east to the end of the water district:
Water will be off tonight and most of tomorrow to make the repair. Please anticipate your water needs for this period of time. Once water is restored let it run a few minutes until it becomes clear as it may be dirty or riled.
*All water customers located on State Hwy 23 from the State Hwy 23/30 intersection and east to the end of the water district:
Because the Roxbury Water Reservoir lost water due the Grand Gorge break, and Grand Gorge is fed by Roxbury, water had been shut off from Roxbury to re-fill the Roxbury reservoir. Once the reservoir is filled water should be able to be turned back on to Grand Gorge. You will then have water from the Grand Gorge Water Tank so you should not lose water service. However, there is a possibility you may lose water.
I have not been informed of a Boil Water Notice needed after water is restored and will keep you posted on that as it become available to me.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
Diane Pickett, Town Clerk

TOWN OF ROXBURY RESIDENTS
The Town of Roxbury is expected to receive funds from the Covid Relief Legislation recently passed in the U.S. Congress. There has been no specific funding amount but the Roxbury Town Council is reaching out to residents to get ideas on how best to direct that money. Share your ideas at an information gathering meeting on Wednesday June 16th at 6PM at the Kirkside Barn or on Zoom. Bring a chair or log on and join your fellow neighbors from Roxbury, Denver, and Grand Gorge to hear and discuss their ideas. There are stipulations on what the money can be spent on and this will be discussed at the beginning of the meeting. All ideas are welcome and appreciated. Hope you can join us and tell your neighbors. If you would like the zoom information please e-mail dlosborn740@gmail.com
