Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town of Roxbury Town Board on June 13, 2016 at 7:15 p.m. at the Town Hall, 53690 St. Hwy 30, PO Box 189, Roxbury, New York to hear all persons interested regarding a proposed Local Law entitled “Flood Damage Prevention Law” under consideration by the Town Board. The proposed local law is available for inspection at the Office of the Town Clerk. In summary, the proposed Local law repeals and supersedes Local law No. 1 of the year 2012 and adopts the new law recommended by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in order to maintain the community’s eligibility to participate in the National Flood Insurance program. The proposed Local law includes updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps.

Public Information Meeting Minutes - March 19, 2016

A Public Information meeting was advertised and held March 19, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Grand Gorge Civic Center to discuss the status of the GEIS Project/Flood Study for the hamlet of Grand Gorge. Present were: Supervisor Thomas S. Hynes, Councilman Edward Raeder, Engineers Robert Allison and Richard Woidt and nine residents.
Robert Allison of Catskill Region Surveying Services and Rick Woidt of Woidt Engineers discussed their respective roles in the study process, further discussed the project objective and methodology. A draft map was displayed per their findings of elevations. The map will be amended as needed based on resident’s knowledge of where past water issues have been and buildings that now show as being in the flood zone but have never gotten any water. Those areas will be looked at again. A question & answer period took place.
The meeting closed at 11:45 am.

Pursuant to Section 103 of the General Municipal Law, the Town Board, Town of Roxbury is soliciting sealed bids for the following materials to be delivered, unless otherwise stated, to the Town Highway Building located at 52508 State Hwy. 30, Roxbury as requested by the Highway Supt.

Please take notice that the Town Board, Town of Roxbury, is seeking sealed bids for hauling materials from Schoharie, Middleburgh, Lexington, Davenport, Ashland and Oneonta, on a per ton basis to the Salt Shed storage area located on NYS Rt. 30 Roxbury.
Bids must include a Certificate of Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 and a Certificate of Non-Collusion. Sealed bids shall be marked “MATERIAL HAULING”.
Sealed bids must be received at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, PO Box 189, 53690 State Hwy. 30, Roxbury, NY 12474 before 2:15 pm on March 11, 2016 at which time they shall be opened.
