The Town of Roxbury Town Board will hold a Special Meeting on November 22, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the Town Hall to discuss New Town Hall matters, including a $100,000 Bond Resolution for renovations and any other business that may come before the Town Board.

Please take notice that the annual election of the Roxbury Fire District will take place on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 between the hours of 6pm and 9pm at the basement of the Roxbury Fire Hall, 53613 Main Street, Roxbury NY 12474 for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a five year term, commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2026. Candidates for the District Office shall file their names with the Secretary of the Fire Commission, Laura Bouton, at mailing address Roxbury Fire District, PO Box 421, Roxbury NY 12474 or in person, no later than December 3rd, 2021.

Conditions for acceptance: Town of Middletown or Roxbury residents only, Transfer Station Permit required, will take tires fitting up to 17 inch wheels, rims must be removed, limit 10 tires per household.

Grand Gorge Water District Customers in the hamlet of Grand Gorge
The Fire Dept. will be flushing hydrants on the following date / time:
Wednesday October 27, 2021
6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
You will not lose water during this period, however, during, and for a short period after the flushing, you may experience dirty or riled water and possibly low water pressure. All affected owners will be notified. If you have renters, please let them know about this as well. Once flushing is done, let your water run a couple of minutes to clear it out.

The Town of Roxbury is seeking to fill the following positions:
*SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD – must be 16+ years of age and available for the morning and afternoon crossings and for early dismissals. Benefits include NYS Retirement. Pay rate and other benefits will be discussed at an interview.
*WATER CLERK – for two water districts. Duties include billing, receipting, notices, mailings, customer service with accounts customers. Benefits include NYS Retirement. Pay rate and other benefits will be discussed at an interview.
